Are you roasting in your corner of the world?

We had a high of 105 degrees yesterday! Crazy! I got up at 5am today, went out into the backyard to stretch and the sky was tinted pink in the sunrise. Scrumptious! My favorite time of day!

When our kids were little I would get up in the middle of the night and write for several hours while the household was silent. That way I had the rest of the day to be about all the normal stuff of life. Now our son and daughter are grown and I don't have to rise at dawn to get in big chunks of writing time. But I still love those pink-tinted stretches in half light when even the bees are still snore-buzzing under the geranium petals.

His mercies really are new every morning. Even under the broiler of these scorching summer days.

Stay cool, sweet Sisterchicks!
Robin

PS Have you checked out the gallery lately!?! Oh, you clever Sisterchicks from Carlock, IL!! We have to hear the story behind the great photos of your Sisterchicks parade!! Do tell all!
