Kangaroo Kisses!
Okay, since I was asked if I actually fed a kangaroo out of my hand when I went to Australia last year to research "Sisterchicks Down Under!", here's the proof! I LOVED feeding the kangaroos! Look at these little guys! They were so amazing. Can you see the joey peeking out of the pouch?
I'm sure I will dream of their gentle faces and expressive eyes tonight.
Smiles,

Happy First Day of Summer! A new season here in my little nest . .

Yesterday our daughter graduated from high school. (big, long, happy-mama sigh) Our weekend of celebrating with family was so rich!

In a few days I'll start writing #6 -- "Sisterchicks in Gondolas!". (Ahhh, Venice!)

Last week I asked my Multnomah editor, Julee, if she'd go to London with me in November to do the all important research for Sisterchicks #7 and she said, "Are you kidding? Of course!" So we're making big plans to see Big Ben and find a Sisterchick adventure just waiting to be experienced.

One of my Sisterchicks, Anne, says that God courts us like a Lover by giving us unexpected gifts at unexpected times. I thought of that last week when I read this email from Rhonda. She said I could share this with you.

"On a recent trip with my Sisterchick (since 1974) I sat looking out at the ocean having a long talk with God and thanking him for my multitude of undeserved blessings. Minutes later, I saw dolphins! It was almost as if God said, "You think the ocean alone is great, check this out!" Then I picked up Sisterchicks Down Under! and guess what part I read next....it was where Jill and Kathy watched the dolphins jumping in the ocean in New Zealand! Yet another amazing blessing from God!!! Thanks so much for your part in it!! I just wanted you to know that I am a "walking commercial" for these books and have gotten several friends started on the "Sisterchicks" books. Keep up the great work!!!!"
Rhonda

May The Relentless Lover fill your summer with unexpected gifts at unexpected times!
