Merry, Merry Christmas!!Our trip to Brazil in November was amazing! Thank you SO much for all your prayers. We could tell we were being protected the whole time. We landed in Rio de Janeiro and were met by the owner of a Christian bookstore who spoke very little English. As he was driving us from the airport, past Ipanema Beach in the crazy traffic, we were hit by another car! The two drivers got out in the middle of the road since there was no shoulder to pull off on and assessed the damage. They decided it was equal damage to both cars, shook hands and off we went. My husband said, "Whoa, we're not in the US anymore, are we?" That same sense of taking everything in stride was evident in the six cities we visited. We LOVED being with so many hundreds of warm-hearted people. We are already looking forward to going back one day.My dental problems have taken a long time to clear up. I was sore and swollen most of the trip but so grateful that we didn't have to cancel. The LittWorld Conference was fantastic and Ana Carolina did a beautiful job of presenting the need for more Christian fiction on the global scene. Ross and I found ourselves continually grateful for the opportunities we had to talk about God's goodness everywhere we went. Ross preached several times, I spoke 13 times in 11 days and loved every minute of it.Our grown kids come home tomorrow for Christmas and I can't wait to be with them! We have our tree up but I'm waiting for them before we decorate it. May your home be filled this Christmas with the joy of Emmanuel -- God truly is with us. Everyday. Every moment. What a gift the Father gave us when He gave us His Son, Jesus!Much love to you and yours,Robin
