i have a friend who is very close to me and whom i have known my whole life. Lately, i have become much stronger in my faith, and within our circle of friends, we get excited over Robin's books, and talk a lot about faith topics. I recently learned that she is very weak in her faith, she reads mythology like constantly, and believes in the big bang theory and evolution of humans. She says she believes in God, and agrees with most of the bible, but i know her really well, and i dont understand how she could love God, but not believe his word. Im only 14 and my emotions confuse me, more than once i have cried myself to sleep because i am afraid for her. I have tried everything, but anything i do she pushes away, i have tried to get her to read robin's books, she hated them, I talk to her about it, she gets mad and moves farther away, i have even taken her to a christian camp and to my church. Please give me advice, I am lost. . .

Pray for her, sometimes that is all you can do.
I know from my own past and from my son's (they are college aged) that many friends will push you away when they know by the example of their own lives that they aren't making the right decisions. However, when their lives get bad and they need someone to turn to, they remember their true friends. It hurts, but keep trying to be God's love to her.
I lost my childhood best friend at about your age, we finally quit corresponding when we were 15. Our lives were just too different. It hurt but God is good.
I'll be praying for you.

thank you, and I so will I. I have been pretty consistent about my prayers, and I know that most of my other friends have been to, but her parents decided recently that they were getting a divorce, which makes it harder for her. It just is so hard for me to watch her. ..
